Danielle Demetriou is a British writer and editor based in Tokyo. She moved to Japan in 2007 following nine years working on newspapers in London, including The Independent, Evening Standard and Daily and Sunday Telegraph. 

She is currently a Japan correspondent for the Daily and Sunday Telegraph and formerly a Tokyo correspondent for Monocle magazine. Her lifestyle, design and travel articles have appeared in publications including Conde Nast Traveller, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Wallpaper*, Design Anthology, Kinfolk, Architectural Review, BBC online, Modern Farmer, ICON, Amuse, Centurion, Departures, CNN Style, Sydney Morning Herald, Casa da Abitare, ARTnews, The Guardian, Marie Claire etc.  She writes regular columns in the Japan Times and the Mainichi Weekly News and works as an English editorial consultant for Japanese fashion magazines.

Danielle also has extensive experience as a brand consultant, advising, writing and directing editorial projects for companies including five-star hotels, fashion brands, design studios and luxury retailers (including the Mandarin Oriental, the Ritz-Carlton, Relais & Chateaux and Lexus).
